1. On Saturday, we had an impromptu family BBQ and it was so much fun. Wish we did that more often. I love my family.
2. I spent Sunday/Monday down at the Siuslaw River with D and his parents on their property.
It is gorgeous down there. We worked really hard cleaning it all up and getting ready for camping this summer. Wow, am I sore!
3. I, apparently do not understand the Mother/Son relationship. It's weird.
4. I will be super busy this week trying to get ready for a retirement party next Monday evening. I think I am starting to fret about it, but I don't know why. Mom is awesome and she has volunteered herself to help me all day on Monday. She's great, huh? And D is going to get off work early to help me too. Such great people, I tell ya.
5. We went and saw the Rose Festival fireworks on Friday night. I LOVED it. We went down to the waterfront, sat on a blanket and played farkle while we waited. It was a beautiful night and tons of fun.
6. I am pretty excited for my big sister to come and visit from PHX. Beach trip? I think so!
7. I am trying to give things time at work, and try to adjust to all the changes before I form an opinion...but it's hard. Things are so different.
8. I have learned that I am more relational than I thought.
9. Another one of D's cousins got engaged, so we have another wedding to go to this summer. I am so (not) excited. But I am sure that I will smile and have so much fun.

Dare to be Different
Believe in someone no one else believes in
Help someone you needs help that is ignored by everyone else
Stand up when un-kind words are being spoken
Stop caring about reputation and start caring about others
Give, even when you have little yourself
Return mean words with kind actions
Live beyond reproach and be someone's miracle today
Help someone you needs help that is ignored by everyone else
Stand up when un-kind words are being spoken
Stop caring about reputation and start caring about others
Give, even when you have little yourself
Return mean words with kind actions
Live beyond reproach and be someone's miracle today

Mother's Day
There is a love in this world
that sings strong through the years,
it is from the heart of a mother
who holds her children safe and dear,
her boundless devotion is like no other
a rare jewel that will forever live on.
She sacrifices to see her child happy
not once demands anything in return,
for all the things she does each day
we can never pay back but only learn,
as we admire the strength she displays
during those trying times that visits.
There is no greater love that exists
then the one between mother and child,
in her eyes all of her children are equal
no matter how very naughty or wild,
all the riches in this world is unequal
to a mothers love that is irreplaceable.

Dear Mom,
It doesn't seem right that there is only one day a year that is dedicated just to you. Because for the past 34 years, all your days have been dedicated to us. Everyday since 01-08-75 have had Stacy (and then Kristie, Tami and Kelly) written all over them. Because you are a mother and you love us.
I don't often take the time to tell you how much I love you, or how much I appreciate you, or how much I often think of you in thankfulness. But today (4 days after Mother's Day), will tell you just that.

I love you Mom
I appreciate you Mom
And I am so thankful for you Mom
I appreciate you Mom
And I am so thankful for you Mom
Thank you for all the boo-boo's you've kissed, all the scrapped knees you've cleaned and bandaged, all the school notes you've written, all the meals you prepared, all the loads of laundry you've done, all the books you've read, the songs you've sung, the backs you've scratched, the hair you've brushed, the sports games you've watched, the band concerts you attended, the back yard picnics you've prepared, the vacations you've planned, the hours you worked to pay for those vacations, the new shoes you've bought, the prom dresses you bought, the tears you've wiped away, the hugs you've given, the advice you've shared, the broken hearts you've mended and for all the other ways you've shown your love.
Thank you for being my mom. Thank you for showing me what it means to love. I am so blessed that you will be there to teach me how to me a mom one day. I love you mom. Happy Mother's Day.
